Covertext: "The most valuable musical experience of my life is the seven years I spent playing guitar in the Muddy Waters Blues Band. Muddy took me in the band because he could see how much I wanted to play his "Sound", and though he didn't want to take the time to teach, he wanted me to learn. So he put me on his right side on the bandstand to watch him play guitar and hoped I would pick it up.... and when I came of the bandstand, Muddy was there and excited: "I haven't heard that song in thirty years! You're keeping the Old School alive!"... He's been gone five years now, but there's no Recess and I'll never graduate from the Old School."
