I bought this LP probably in early 1967. It was released in the US on Decca in 1966.
The vinyl is scratch free, just a few light rub marks. The cover has no splits but does have corner bumps from shelving. The shrink wrap is still on it but has torn away from the bottom right corner (front), bottom left corner (back). Some residue from original price tag is still on the upper right under the word “STEREO”.
The inner sleeve is plain white paper.

The WHO did cover two James Brown songs here, the rest are their own. A lot of groups that had a hit single had to add some slow love ballads to fill out an album. Not these guys! They rock! You wonder how “The Ox” would have sounded with the technical advances Cream and Hendrix had a year or two later. Even so, on that and most of the others, Townsend puts his guitar to work.
