Description
First, I am not a collector, or seller of recordings.. I just buy what I like and hold on to the ones that are pretty good in my estimation. I am not a professional grader. So take this for what you will. I try my best to grade fairly. I try to tell you what you should know to make a good, informed decision. Most of the albums I own were purchased in the 1970;s era. I, like many lost, had stolen, or played to death my 60's records. we stacked them on a turn table, lost the sleeves, left them in parked vehicles etc etc etc.. and played them, carrying them to parties, or otherwise, just enjoying them never thinking of value, except for entertainment... It was a different time. . . The ones I offer are not those.. These ,with few exceptions are played once twice three times. When sound became important, I would purchase an album, take it home and clean it with a Discwasher. Test play, on a good turntable with an expensive cartridge, checking for clicks, pops, sandpaper, all those great terms.. If it passed, would then record it onto the best recording equipment I could afford at the moment.. Buzz words like crossover, roll off, watts per channel THD, ect, meant we always were getting better stuff. I sometimes replaced the sleeve of a standard paper with a "collectors" sleeve. Also a few got poly outer sleeves. This is the type of records I will offer, unless otherwise noted. Sorry to bore you, but I have never sold any of my albums before, and am proud of the care I have given them. This 1970 something re-issue of the two Big Star albums is my first offering. I have to think about what I want to keep, and my house is high on the list, but it looks like this album should be worth a little money. Minor scuff and " rubber" imprint on cover , but the disc should be pretty darn good. I looked at it for a while. did not see anything that would lead me to think it is not a nice playing album. Don't know what else to say. I will package and protect your purchase so as to arrive in good shape. Please see the photos. I have heard of people trying return an album not the same as purchased. I don't want to be tricked like that so I offer a long detailed thing about the records. I have to date 100% happy rating on ebay and try to describe the record as best I can. But I will not accept returns. I called ebay and they said it was covered by Ebay buyer protection.t Any questions, please ask. Foreign , please inquire. Thank you. dan
