Description
Discogs only lists 1954 versions of this, and later 12" versions, but the insert in this version lists copyright dates of "1954, 1961", so I surmise this particular copy is the 1961 version. It has "Documentary Recordings", and was "Written by Langston Hughes, Author of 'The First Book of Jazz' Published by Franklin Watts, Inc." (from front jacket). The jacket is in GOOD CONDITION, with the main wear issue being a split bottom edge about 2" from opening. Edges are solid with no markings on the front jacket, a previous owner's name inked on back jacket, and a few soil marks on white spaces on back jacket. Insert is in Very Good condition, but with the same user name inked on it's front. The record was stored in a plain white inner sleeve, and LOOKS GREAT with no scratches on pristine vinyl, no spindle hole wear, looks unplayed and I'll grade as NM.
