1960: SINATRA BACKS JFK!

HIGH HOPES/ALL THE WAY (no label name #kb-2077/2078 PROMO-ONLY pressing w/repro coupon, 1960): UNPLAYED MINT GEM 45 at our LOWEST PRICE EVER!

Only 1000 PROMO-ONLY "High Hopes" with JACK KENNEDY 45s were pressed in 1960.  This guaranteed UNPLAYED MINT GEM is currently valued at $400+; it'll sound terrific on your turntable, jukebox...or put it in The Vault!

We were fortunate to find an original box of these unplayed mint 45s that an Arizona JFK campaign worker had since 1960; they sat untouched in her closet for over 55 years.  This historic single is in pristine condition with its original generic sleeve, exactly as issued.  It's arguably the rarest record ever issued by Frank Sinatra & is heard in pioneering 1960 documentary film Primary.  We're including a reproduction of a 1960 solicitation promising to send this record in return for a Kennedy campaign contribution.  The original of this coupon is undoubtedly much scarcer than the record; we include this quality repop at no additional charge.

High Hopes featured new lyrics to boost JFK's Presidential bid: "Everyone wants to back...Jack...Jack is on the right track!"  Aired as many times as Kennedy's men could get radio stations to play it during the 1960 Democratic primaries, Frank Sinatra's performance became the theme song of Jack's campaign & helped him win the nomination & the Presidency.

Frank's chumminess with underworld figures was long considered why the friendship between the Chief Executive & the Chairman Of The Board came to an abrupt end after JFK became President.  In late 2018 another reason was revealed: President Kennedy had been told Sinatra was having an affair with JFK's sister Pat Kennedy Lawford (wife of Peter).  Whatever the motivation may have been, Frank was banned from the White House.  But Nancy Sinatra said after John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963 her father "cried for days".
