Description
Up for grabs is a collection of 100 lp's....mixed genres but generally Country and/or Southern USA related. Styles range from traditional country and western/hillbilly, to modern country, rock n roll, western swing/honky tonk, country/southern rock, cajun, zydeco, bluegrass, blues, black gospel/negro spiritual, tex-mex etc. The music covers all decades from the 30's to the 90's....although most of the pressings themselves are from the 80's. Vast majority are US pressings..although there's a couple of Australian and UK ones. All of these lp's were part of the same collection that I recently purchased, and all were bought new by the previous owner.
Albums are a combination of studio recorded lps, live recorded lp's, single artist compilations, and compilations of various artists. There's some fairly rare/obscure lp's in this lot...and a few rare recordings on some of the compilation albums. A few of the albums are double lp's...so there's actually over 100 lps in this lot!
Physical condition of the lp's varies from (VG) to (EX+). I have test played a few tracks on each album to check for bad warps/scratches etc...but I have NOT test played each song on each album. Some of the lp's have minor sleeve marks and slight warps/ripples, and a few could do with a clean. But generally speaking, playback was close to Excellent on all tracks that I listened to. Again I have test played each lp but not entirely from start to finish...please bid accordingly.
Condition of the covers varies from (VG-/G+) to (Ex). They may or may not have slight edge/corner/shelf/ring wear, slight water damge/tearaways, stickers/small handwriting etc. Please refer to pictures for more of an insight into the condition of the covers.
I presently don't have the time to list Artist/title/pressing info but i'll try and get aroung to it in the next few days. In the meantime, please again refer to pictures for artists/titles.
I have listed the collection for local pickup only....as I'm not sure if the final packed weight will exceed the Auspost limit of 22kg. However, if winning bidder will require postage and exceeds 22kg, I can drop at Frankston Pack n Send depot for a small fee to cover petrol costs (its 40 min drive from Rye)...winning bidder will then have to arrange and pay for freight/delivery. Due to the nature of my work i CANNOT meet a courier during business hours....so courier is unfortunately not an option. If you can't comply with these conditions, please do not bid on the collection.
