10FOOT – A406 – VINYL RECORD – BLEEP – RARE LONDON GRAFFITI / ART RELEASE - SIGNED
Rare 10Foot A406 vinyl, sold through Bleep.
A406 sees legendary London graffiti writer 10Foot move beyond putting paint on walls and into sound, creating an audio work centred on London’s A406 North Circular Road.
The project developed from years of recordings made around the road and reflects 10Foot’s fascination with London, its infrastructure, people, hidden spaces and contradictions. Rather than simply being a work about graffiti, A406 explores the experience of moving through and understanding the city itself.
10Foot has described the project as containing jokes, experiences and references, with graffiti only entering the work much later. It is a deeply personal portrait of the North Circular and, ultimately, of London.
The project also reflects a development in 10Foot’s practice – moving away from some of the physical risks associated with his prolific graffiti writing while continuing to explore the city and the environments that have shaped his work.
