EDITH PIAF LP L'INTEGRALE DE SES ENREGISTREMENTS 1946-1963 (Columbia Records France EMI 2C 152 72.085/98). Released 1980.
Lavish French pressing in a Deluxe Red Velvet box. 14 Discs in all!! Includes original printed track listing sheet & the real charm, a 24-page large, full-color glossy booklet. Four of the discs are stereo, the other 10 are mono. So I assume this matches how these songs were originally recorded. Orchestra directed by Robert Chauvigny. The Little Sparrow offers 196 songs in all. Sleeved in tasteful, finely-milled custom black inner sleeves.
All 14 discs are in immaculate condition, with no evidence of having ever been played. No scratches, scuffs, flecks or other wear. No warpage, pits or residue on the platters. Some wear on the deluxe box, with a half-inch chip missing from the front & moderate fading of the embossed white lettering. Manufactured by Pathe Marconi/EMI. (Stamped matrix number: 72087 MA22).
COVER - VG-
No stains on front; no stickers, creases, water damage or cut-out marks. The remarkable velvet box retains good color, with no minimal fading. Small area of cat claw marks on open edge. A little bit of ballpoint writing on the outside of the booklet & on the track sheet. The inside of the booklet looks great with vivid, glossy, richly-colored photos. Inner sleeves & labels looks great with no marks, writing, cuts or stickers. Sharp cut holes free of spindle brushings.
DISCS - NM
We give great importance to grading our items accurately. No visual evidence that these discs have ever been played: Free of skips, scuffs, flecks, warping or residue on the discs or dead wax. Platters exhibit an exemplary rainbow sheen. The discs were evidently always kept in their inner sleeves for maximum protection.
