Description
Up for auction is a rare, 16" Capitol Transcription Disc/lp of Korla Pandit's music, titled 'Exotic Sounds in Music'.
These songs were to be played during breaks, somewhat like 'incidental music' on radio stations in the latter 1940s or perhaps early 1950s. Not always the case, but many times the Capitol Transcription Recordings contained songs that were often only meant for radio, and so many were unreleased during their time--and many still may be.
This was Catalog #/Program B-563/B-564
B-563 contains the songs:
Don't Blame Me, Once in a While, My Silent Love, I'm in the mood for Love, You Do
B-564 contains:
The Hypnotist, Aisha's Dance, The Procession of the Grand Moghul, An Ode to a Desert Love, Tabla Tarangua
Record is in VG/VG- condition with some surface scuffs and light scratches.
