Description

Here's a 16 inch transcription disc / record from the 1950s.  The title of this record is Manhattan Melodies which is a music program presented by the US Air Force Recruiting Service.  Artists are recorded in the studio with some patter between songs.  Also the artists read recruiting promotions for the military.
This particular program features Benny Goodman on program 191 and Chris Conner (this side has pressing marks, but plays okay) on program 192. 
These records were delivered to, and played on radio stations before the more common use of audio tape and consequently, were only played once. Record speed is 33 1/3 rpm.
You will need a record player capable of playing 16 inch records, commonly called "transcription records".
