Standard 113- Frank Trumbauer O- 8 cuts- lateral cut. incl There's a Boy In Harlem, A Heavenly Party. Includes a couple of vocals by Deane Janis who was a well known singer with the Hal Kemp O. Of course Tram was associated with Bix Beiderbecke. EE- scuffs, plays well on this early heavy vinyl Victor pressing
I will be offering some choice 16" radio transcriptions, both vertical and lateral from the world class collection of one of the pioneer record collectors of this type of music and medium, specializing in the recorded program service type such as Thesaurus, Associated, World, Lang Worth, Muzak, Standard, Mac Gregor, AFRS, etc. Many are company copies in the original sleeves, with notes from the engineers and other personnel--some are white label house copies..Many have discographical notes and comments. They cover all types of music- mostly jazz, popular, sweet and swing bands, Hawaiian- even a bit of Country. The majority of these have NOT been reissued..They have the most amazing fidelity, superior to anything else from that period. Most if not all of these are from the mid 1930s thru the early 1940s. These records are 16" in diameter and play at 33 1/3 rpm. The vertical cuts play with a special stylus, the lateral play like an LP or 78..A large platter turntable is required for playing these discs which were made for radio station use and not issued to the general public..Please see label scans for song titles..
