For your bidding pleasure here is an extremely scarce Berliner gramophone record, "Bugle Calls by Chief Trumpeter Cassi of the Roosevelt Rough Riders; 7"; #3439Z released on Nov. 28, 1898. Record has an announcement by Cassi plus about 4-5 different bugle calls: First call ; Guard mounting ; Assembly ; Drill ; Retreat
It is a re-enactment of bugle calls sounded at San Juan Hill, Santiago, Cuba, July 1, 1898. At auction similar records have sold from between $89.00 to $102.00. This one is a beauty.
Recently, I played it twice. It plays OK, with no stops nor skips, but no guarantees.
