Description

This traditional folk song originated from an 1820s instrumental tune called Zip Coon. In 1861 the first set of lyrics were set to the music and the words "turkey in the straw" were added to the end of the song. The title was then changed to "Turkey In The Straw". This 1907 version was performed by Billy Golden.

This Columbia 78 record numbered 1101 is in very good+ condition with minor wear. Buyer will include $5 for shipping. Thanks.
