16 Inch, 33 1/3 rpm, black lacquer acetate coated aluminum radio transcription disc.  This disc was recorded for reference purposes only and not available to the general public

Side one features a 15 minute radio broadcast featuring The Rhythmaires, Raymond Scott conductor.  This is not the singing group "Jud Colons Rhythmaires", this is a 1930's style musical group.  I could not find any other reference to this group conducted by Raymond Scott.  Songs include "Let's Break The Good News", "At Long Last Love", "Don't Cross Your Fingers Cross Your Heart", "What Are You Doing Tonight", "The Shadow Know".  The announcer introduces the last song "Here's That Dark And Scary Fellow 'The Shadow Knows'", an introduction that appears to reference The Shadow radio show.  All of the songs are instrumentals.  The label says "Part 2 of 2", however this is a complete 15 minute radio broadcast, with the opening "There's Rhythm On The Air With The Rhythmaires, A Musical Revue Of The Tunes of The Day".  All of the songs are instrumentals.  Program was broadcast on CBS

Side two features part one, the first half of "For The Record" radio program from October 2, 1944 starring Les Brown & His Orchestra, Carmen Cavallaro.  Louis Jordan & His Tympany Five are introduced, however they do not perform any songs on this half of the show.   Songs include "A Fine Romance" Les Brown & His Orchestra, "Dance With A Dolly" vocal Butch Stone, "My Silent Love / If I Could Be With You One Hour Tonight / Can't We Be Friends" Carmen Cavallaro piano, "Let Me Love You Tonight" Les Brown & His Orchestra vocal Gordon Drake.    This was a radio program produced NBC and The War Department for V-Disc as songs from this radio series were pressed to V-Disc for broadcast to servicemen overseas.  15 minutes

The label for side two is loose so I scanned both sides.  The the label is printed on the reverse side of a Universal Recording Company label, which was Raymond Scott's recording company, so it is likely this disc was recorded for Raymond Scott

Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables.   For $10 I can include a CD transfer of the entire disc for the buyer only
