1939 Recording King (Gibson Made) Archtop Vintage Project Guitar. Original Case Included.

This a beautiful vintage archtop guitar. It is a Recording King M-5, which, i believe, was the top of their line. Solid woods. Spruce top. Figured Maple Back and Sides. Plays fairly well and sounds great as is, but has been listed as a project guitar for a few reasons. Most prominent being that the back and sides at the string trapeze (strap button area), have separated. From what i've been told, this is not a difficult fix. This doesn't affect guitars playability and if you were unaware of this issue, it'd be difficult to notice. In fact, at the advice of my luthier, i've been administering humidity, which has caused the back and sides to re-hydrate (expand) back to nearly correct geometry. From there, they simply need to be glued back in place. Other reason being, this guitar could likely benefit from some fret work. My plan was to do these repairs myself, but the time simply has not come available. Neck is straight and shouldn't need a reset. D string and G string tuners are bent but functional. B string tuner is wobbly. All that aside, this old Recording King is an awesome vintage guitar!
The case: Though it does hold the guitar, the back has de-laminated and the handle is missing and has been replaced by a sturdy zip tie (not my work). This guitar has been described to the best of my abilities. This is a SOLD-AS is auctions. No returns.
