"THANKSGIVING PROGRAM 1944" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISC.  ONE COMPLETE 30 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THIS 16 INCH, VINYL, 33 1/3 RPM DISC.  THIS DISC WAS ISSUED TO ARMED FORCES RADIO STATIONS FOR BROADCAST TO U. S. TROOPS DURING WORLD WAR TWO AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.  VERY RARE!   

"Thanksgiving Program 1944" radio program from November 23, 1944 hosted by Lionel Barrymore with Dinah Shore, Wally Brown, Fanny Brice, Hanley Stafford, Frank Morgan, Harry Von Zell, John Charles Thomas

Program includes a skit where Dinah Shore & Harry Von Zell go to Wally Brown's house for Thanksgiving Dinner

Program includes a skit with Fanny Brice as "Baby Snooks", where daddy warns her that it she eats too much turkey, she will turn into a turkey.  Daddy falls asleep and has a dream that both of them have turned into turkeys, and Frank Morgan appears as a rooster!

Dinah Shore sings "How Sweet You Are" and "I've Got Plenty To Be Thankful For".  John Charles Thomas sings "We Gather Together To Ask The Lord's Blessing".  Program includes a medley of American songs (Give My Regards To Broadway / California Here I Come / Swanee River, etc) by Percy Faith & His Orchestra
