Description

"Command Performance 1946 Christmas Show" radio show transcription discs produced by The Armed Forces Radio Service.  One complete 60 minute radio program on these two 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm discs.  These discs were produced for broadcast only for United States troops and not available to the general public, very rare!

The commandant of The Armed Forces Radio Service gives a special introduction to Marlene Dietrich, who sings "Lili Marlene"

Program includes a comedy monologue by Bob Hope, a comedy spot with Garry Moore & Jimmy Durante, a comedy spot with Edgar Bergen & Charlie McCarthy where Charlie McCarthy recites his version of "Twas The Night Before Christmas"

Program is complete and 60 minutes

Discs are in Excellent- condition with Excellent sound.  There is a defect in the edge of the 2nd disc which causes two soft thuds at the very start of part 4, the first two revolutions of the disc only

Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables.   For $10 I can include a CD transfer of both discs for the buyer only
