Description
FOR SALE:
A 12-inch Acetate record (steel backing) in EE condition. Label reads “For Reference Recording Only, Audio Devices Inc. New York.”“Bing Crosby Show April 12, 1950 of Mildred Bailey. Play at 33/3rd Use 78 RPM head”
Sound is REALLY CLEAR/ does not sound like radio.
Side one: Bing Crosby introducing Mildred Bailey on the Bing Crosby Show, giving her a very warm welcome. She sings “Georgia on My Mind” with full string orchestra supporting her. Then she sings “I’ve Got The World on A String” with Bing Crosby accompanying her. Then Crosby introduces Ward Kimbell and the Firehouse Five plus two, which plays a very jazzy “That’s a Plenty” – FADES OUT at end – not complete.
Side Two: Crosby Show: Singer plays “Marta, Rambling Rose” but gets cut off early. Rest of this side is silent.
