Artist: DYLAN THOMAS
Fresh from a local estate, this auction is for 2 double-sided 33rpm audiodiscs, found in the original TELAVIX mailer. These appear to be from the recording sessions for Harvard University at Tel-a-vix Recording Studio, Boston, on March 2, 1950, during Dylan Thomas first U.S. reading tour.
These are 11.75" discs with TELAVIX paper labels. Each label is hand-typed "DYLAN THOMAS". They are numbered 1,2,3, and 4.
As best I can tell, there appears to be unreleased material on these acetates.
A complete track listing of all 4 sides:
*** Side #1: In Death Divided, The Choirmaster's Burial, Broken Appointment, To Lisbie Brown, This Side Of The Truth
*** Side 2: Lapis Lazuli, After The Funeral, Among Those Killed In The Dawn Raid Was A Man Aged A Hundred, And Death Shall Have No Dominion (title only, repeated twice)
*** Side 3: And Death Shall Have No Dominion, Fern Hill, A Refusal To Mourn, On The Marriage Of A Virgin
***Side 4: Love In The Asylum, (Thomas tapping microphone), Captain Carpenter, Ceremony After A Fire Raid
I do not use stock photos. The albums shown in the photos are the ACTUAL albums you will receive.
Records are flat, and not warped. They have no chips, nicks, or cracks, and no scratches to mention. There are very minimal surface scuffs, as these have been protected in the original sleeves and mailer.
