Description
Esquire 20-008. Original 10"LP. The label is off white with red logo, blue text. The All Stars are, 1953 Poll Winners. 1 track on Side 1, 4 tracks on Side 2. The group is directed by Jack Parnell, drums and arranged by Reg Owens. Includes Kenny Baker, trumpet; Jackie Armstrong, trombones; Ronnie Scott, tenor sax; Ronnie Charberlain, alto sax, soprano sax; Vic Ash, alto sax, clarinet; Leslie Gilbert, alto sax; Harry Klein, baritone sax; Martin Slavin, vibes; Bill McGuffie, piano; Ivor Mairants, guitar; Johnny Hawksworth,bass. Very rare edition.
Cover: VG Soft European envelope style jacket with flap. Light to moderate aging. Record ring on both sides of the jacket with light soil from ordinary handling and storage.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There are 4 or 5 very light, short surface rub marks. These do not affect the sound. 3 light clicks on Side 1 and some groove noise toward the end of the track. This may be a function the early pressing and not wear. Side 2, which has 4 tracks has1 faint click on Track 1, 2 on Track 2 Some light groove noise at the beginning of Track 3 for a few revolutions. Slight groove noise on 2 or3 revolutions on Track 4 which are barely audible toward the end of the track. This is an early 10" LP pressing which may account for th slight groove noise described. In general this is in fine condition with excellent overall sound. Audibly checked.
