Description

PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION IN IT'S ENTIRETY BEFORE DECIDING ON A POSSIBLE BID. I am not an expert at grading records, however I have eyes and can see, so even though I have no way of testing these records, I will strive to give my best description of condition based on appearance.  I do have a record player, but it was made in the 80's and my understanding is some of these older records can be ruined if you try to play them with newer needles so I don't want to risk ruining this item.  I have several hundred records from the early 50's to the mid 60's that I will be posting over the next few months. If you wish to make an offer on the entire collection, please contact me and we can discuss specifics. I have tentatively priced the collection using a Goldmine Price Guide from 2008 and the total value is in the thousands.  This is the ONLY price reduction I will be doing on this item during this 3 day offer, so now is the time to buy!!! Offered for your consideration is a genuine original Sun Records 45 recording of Good Rockin' Tonight/I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine by Elvis Presley.  Produced in 1954, this record was one of the original 5 Sun recordings that vaulted Elvis to worldwide fame and the top of the charts for decades.  This record is THE REAL DEAL  and is not a reproduction.  The telltale push marks underneath the label are most evident in pics 10-12 and can easily be seen when holding the record.  If you have any concerns about the authenticity of this item, please check my ratings and you will see I have totally favorable reviews and have sold other rare items with very happy results for the customers.  This record is in what I would consider to be VG/VG+ condition. Showing a number of light surface scratches, especially on the Good Rockin' Tonight side, the record does not appear to have anything other than minor wear.  The flips side looks even better and there is minor wear on the label, the most obvious being some browning on the label where it was in contact with the record player or other records.  Which means there are no other cosmetic blemishes than normal use for a few years period of time.  There is no original sleeve so the record will be shipped in the brown plain sleeve shown in the pics(Sun Records used brown sleeves on the original releases of these earliest recordings, which I have seen some sellers incorrectly refer to as promo only copies). I will possibly be taking this to auction if this listing doesn't sale, but please FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN OFFER.  Just know that the last three of these I have seen sell online sold for between $800-1000 and the 2008 Goldmine price guide lists this record in the $1500(VG) to $2500(VG+) range.
