1954 Walter Gieseking Mozart Complete Works 11 LP Box Set Solo Piano Limited Edition UK Angel
This is a limited edition box set of 11 LP records featuring Walter Gieseking performing the complete works of Mozart for solo piano. The box set was issued in 1954 by Angel as 3511 K - the set was conceived by Mercure Editions of Paris and the vinyl was pressed in England. The records come in a moire silk box with descriptive book and the set is number C108 of a limited edition. Each record has its original paper inner sleeve and has a cardboard sleeve as well. The original owner was so proud of his set that he kept the original newspaper ad clipping promoting the sale of the box set at local department store Morgan’s in an envelope inside of the box. The records are in near mint (NM) condition, but would need a dusting/cleaning - I’ve listened to an excerpt and there was some vinyl noise. My experience is that vinyl of this era is usually a little noisy, but a good cleaning can often mitigate this to some degree. The box is in very good condition, but the silk has gone purple at the edges - this appears to be par for the course for this set. Still, all in all, a very nice set of LPs, rather rare as it was a limited edition. The box measures 13 1/4” square by 2” thick and weighs close to 10 lbs......sold by auction method with a low starting price and no reserve, so please bid accordingly...please click on any photo in order to enlarge....and please view our other auctions for more interesting finds from quality estates.…. I am now shipping to my US clients through USPS services. I am located in Canada but I now have a carrier service to bring my parcels directly across the border on Wednesdays to be shipped out of the USPS postal outlet in Champlain, N.Y. In addition to the actual shipping cost, I do charge a $3.00 handling fee to help offset the cost of this special US service and new packaging for this piece. Please note that even with the handling fee that it is less expensive and is a quicker service than using Canada Post.

Because eBay is now requiring TRS sellers to process within 24 hours, I would require your Paypal payment by Monday at 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.

PLEASE NOTE: For items which sell over $200.00, I must ship to my U.S. clients using Canada Post, this is due to customs regulations.

To my Canadian clients, I use Canada Post for shipping, as I am based in Canada - legally, I am not permitted to ship to you through the US, so do not rely on the US shipping calculator for costs.

To my International clients I can ship by either Canada Post or by USPS (in order to use USPS for intl. clients - the items must sell for under $200.00).
