1955 Eyewitness Interview w TITANIC Survivor + Walter Lord on NBC Vinyl Record -

This is a fascinating 1956 LP Vinyl Record of a Nov. 22, 1955 radio show interview with Titanic Survivor Mrs. Renee (Henry B.) Harris and Walter Lord, author of the book "A Night to Remember", by radio show host Tex Mcrary and Jinx Falkenburg (Known as Tex & Jinx).  Each side of the record runs for about 4 minutes.
The recording is on an NBC Orthacoustic Instantaneous 33-1/2 rpm 12-1/2" heavy vinyl LP.    It is in very good, clean condition with just a few very minor small scratches.
NOTE: The record is marked "SIDE FOUR"  on one side, and "SIDE TEN" on the other side - so this record is 1 single record from what must have been  larger set of records made of the interview of Walter Lord and Mrs. Harris.  It is the only one I have - and it is the one you will be bidding on.
The interview took place in New York City on Nov. 22, 1955, per the date on the record.
It starts with Tex Mcrary introducing the content of the show - after he and Jinx mention the dinners that each had earlier that evening,  Tex dining with two men, and Jinx with Lord Beaverbrook and Mrs and Mrs Sam Goldwyn, Mrs. Averill Harriman, Gene Vanderbilt and Turner Catledge from the New York Times.
The first to be interviewed is Walter Lord, who was age 38 at the time, and had just published "A Night to Remember". He talks about his early interest in the Titanic which began at age 10 - and thereafter he  began collecting things related to the Titanic.  He says that by 1932 he put together a large scrapbook of his items, material which he drew upon in creating his authoritative book.  With Jinx, he speaks about the design of the ship, the warnings the captain received about the iceberg, and the disbelief that passengers felt when they learned that the ship was sinking, among other things.   
The interview with Titanic survivor Mrs. Henry Harris begins on the next side of the record, mid interview.  Here is a summary of some of her words: "Mr Harris begged me to go on I wouldn't go on They (the lifeboats) were all launched We passed through the to the captain's bridge And standing on the bridge was the captain, Major Archibald Butt, and the ships doctor And they asked me "What are you doing here" And I said I didn't want to leave my husband. They were just launching a collapsible And as I looked over there, the collapsible turned on its davits And everyone on board was sunk So we walked to the other side - the port side I could see the clock - it is so vivid in my mind, It was twenty minutes after two The captain said to me, I mean Archibald Butt said to me, "Please go on the lifeboat" And Mr. Harris picked me up and threw me over We weren't 10 feet from the waterline The bow was practically completely in People in the boat were screaming "Look out for the suction" We weren't 5 feet from her, and there was no suction whatsoever, we just went right along And it was half past six when I was picked up at the Carpathia And this Officer Lowe that Mr Lord has mentioned  in his beautifully written book It is a fine job of writing - I read it in spasms - I can't read the book it's hard for me to do His book is as accurate as anybody could be Except someone like myself, who was the last human being to leave the ship.....
For a collector of Titanic memorabilia, this recording would make an truly excellent addition to the collection.
