Description
Offered is Elvis Presley's EP "SPD-22" that was only available when fans bought the Elvis Presley Signature Phonograph in late 1956 and early 1957. The EP contains eight songs on two separate extended play 45s and is presented in a gatefold sleeve with a blank center. The RCA Victrola phonograph was model "7-EP-2" with a facsimile Elvis Presley signature on the top. These EPs were only available for the Christmas season in 1956 and for the early part of 1957. The other version of the EP, "SPD-23", was only available with larger model phonograph.
Cover is in excellent condition with intact spine with "ELVIS PRESLEY" and the record number still readable and no seam splits. Minor wear along right front edge. This is the Elvis in ‘dark pink’ version. This is one of the nicest SPD-22 covers I have seen though it has minor wear and has darkened some due to age. It looks like there was one of those # tags that came with record cases on the top right corner at one time. There is still some residue and if you look closely you can see the outline.
Both records are VG with minor scruffs. The previous owner enjoyed playing these 45s. I have played them and there are no skips. They sound great on my 50s era RCA phonograph.
There is tape with name on the label of side 4 and a tear on the label of side 2 wear the tape was removed. See photos and ask any questions. No returns or refunds. I will be listing many more Elvis EPs this week.
Also I’m listing this as a buy it now at $500 which I think is a steal. I will pay to insure it as well.
