Large Mid 20th Century Vinyl Collection Liquidation!
I am parting with my father’s extensive vinyl collection of over 1000 discs purchased from the late 1930’s until 1972. The collection ranges from popular to big band, swing and jazz…lots of jazz. The listening quality of the vast majority is, on the average, VG+ or better.
I have listened to each album in it’s entirety (with headphones) prior to grading the sound quality of every record. I noticed that the scratches/blemishes (if and when they exist) usually have little or no effect on the audio quality within this particular collection. This is the main reason I graded the audio quality separately from the visual quality of the vinyl (which is also graded separately from the visual quality of the record label). Personally, I am much less concerned how the vinyl looks as opposed to how it sounds. But everyone is different and that is why I separated the grading into 9 separate values.
I also will provide one or two (up to) 30 second sound clips to any prospective buyer upon request. Generally, I will provide the first (approximately) 30 seconds of both sides. But if a buyer requests some other passage within that particular record, I can provide that as well. It is a bit of work, but I am always determined to have a satisfied customer.
