Album Notes: Originals by saxophone player Sonny Rollins, playing with the other members from the Clifford Brown/Max Roach Quintet. Includes the jazz standard "Pent-up House." Recorded in Mono at Bergenfield, NJ studio. This was the last full recording to include pianist Richie Powell and trumpet player Clifford Brown before their untimely deaths.

Album was later released as 3 Giants!

This release includes the very scarce unique album art. Some notable Prestige original releases featured two or more covers. This cover featured the alternate art, that did not follow the album through the years.

• VG+/E Vinyl: has a bright luster wither a little dust. Some visible surface wear with very minor scratches and scuffs. Label is clean and fresh.

• VG+/VG Album Cover: is free of writing and intentional marks, with clear, unmarked artwork. Top of opening has 2" split. White cover is age-toned with some fraying along edges, light scuffing to front and back, a couple dirty smudges and some other minor signs of wear and age.
• Interior Dust Sleeve: is age toned with a disc impression and a clear lining.
• Album may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear.

Walter Theodore "Sonny" Rollins (b1930) is an American jazz tenor saxophonist, widely recognized as one of the most important and influential jazz musicians. In a seven-decade career, he has recorded at least sixty albums as leader, and a number of his compositions have become jazz standards.
