Description
A wonderful treat from us this week for lovers of classical vinyl true rarities: We have a complete list of just top level hard to find originals of exceptional name soloists, and some of the finest early stereo, plus recitals you may never have seen before. Pristine UK Decca 1956 LXT 2721/2722 Mahler's orchestral song cycle Das Lied Von Der Erde sung by Contralto Kathleen Ferrier & Tenor Julius Patzak with Bruno Walter & the VPO. Naturally, given that it is Walter at the helm, the pupil of Mahler, it is one of the greatest Lp era accounts. You had to send off separately for the booklet, and the lp's were sold separately, but here are all three together, all in near mint condition, looking barely played.
It has the orange labels with silver lettering, and the outer rim 'pancake' grooves.
Good whiteness to the rear of the curved cut laminated flip back sleeves.
