Description
Their collaborations on Tonites Music Today and Whooeeee, constitute Zoot and Bob s most intimate and uniform work as a team. The fresh sound reissue was reviewed:
These fine sessions demonstrate not only the considerable solo jazz capacities of Zoot Sims and Bob Brookmeyer, but also the stimulation they enjoyed in each other’s musical company, which inspired skillful, bracing and deceptively casual interplay. In blowing of the highest caliber.
Brookmeyer’s thoughtful, swinging subtlety is a just complement to Zoot’sbig-boned, fully-fleshed horn. The rhythm sections are flexible and swinging. Hank Jones solos with his usual refreshing combination of clear, flowing articulation, swinging taste, and structural sense." I think that a fair assessment. This is unmarked in an excellent sleeve.
Lovely near mint 1st Uk press of a gem of an album
Unmarked playing surfaces. Record not warped, labels are clean..
