iThis is one of 2 1959 original Johnny Hammond Lps I,ll have up here shortly.I,ll list the other one tomorrow.This one is titled That Good Feelin by Johnny Hammond Smith.This is on the first pressing Purple colored New Jazz label # 8229.Not a new record as New Jazz is just the label Name.New Jazz label was a label put out by Prestige in the late 1950s.The later pressings of this Lp were blue with a trident.Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder.The cover has a 1 inch top seam split near upper right corner.The corners all have wear Please see pictures.The upper left corner has a small piece of the spine paper missing also see picture.Very tiny piece of the lower right corner missing Please see picture.Very small 3/4th inch of top seam paper missing near where the seam split is on right upper corner and a small piece of paper cover missing on back cover near lower right corner.This sounds worse than it is as you can see in the 8 pictures of the front and back covers corners.Very glossy front cover.Has RVG on trail off dead wax on both sides stamped in.Side 1 of record has a few extremely light scratches with 2 tiny scratches I can feel very lightly with fingernail.I have not played the record for awhile but I do not think these 2 small scratches will cause any problems or noise.There is also a very small scratch on only about 12 grooves that can be felt with fingernail and will cause a tick or pop noise as it did the last time I played it for approximately 10 to 12 revolutions.I am just visually grading this now.Has a small amount of extremely light scuffing.Side looks really nice except for those few scratches.Side 2 looks very nice with a few very light scratches with 1 scratch I can feel extremely lightly with fingernail.It can barely be felt at all If you look extremely closely under a bright light there is a small section of tiny pressing dimples on second song only which occured when the record was pressed.These are minor and extremely light and tiny and will not affect play in any way.Also 1 extremely small extremely light dimple near label on last song that also will not affect play as it is so extremely light.Few extremely light scuffs.May have a touch of extremely light groove wear but both sides still have lots and lots of shine.Really is a great looking record on both sides and I remember it played quite nicely except for that small scratch on side 1 song 2.Since I have not played it in a while so there is a return for refund if the buyer is not 100% satisfied..I,ll be listing one other 1959 Johnny Hammond New Jazz purple label Lp tomorrow also.
