1959 UK Decca ED1 SXL 2150-1-2 Britten's Peter Grimes with the composer Britten conducting the ROHO. Earliest issue 3 LP's in the Wallet with the two inserts, as was only available for the first year or two, then came the boxes. This opera contains some of the most beautiful English orchestral music ever written, the Four Sea Interludes. What could be finer than the composer conducting them on a golden age stereo recording. One of the ICRC magazines I have listed talks about his conducting and pianism, and I have to say, I am in complete agreement, he is outstanding. Incidentally he is one of the finest Mozart conductors who ever made an Lp as well!. 4 near mint 2 excellent sides in an excellent wallet with 2 excellent inserts, marks shown in the HD pics, non feelable and very background if heard at all on my acutex and ortofon carts in a high end system. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
