1960 Bette St Claire Jazz LP (At Basin Street East)
Bette St Claire – “At Basin Street East” (Seeco 4560). Great 1960 LP was recorded in New York by St Claire backed with the Stan Free Quartet (Barry Galbraith (g), Edwin Swanston (p), Addison Farmer (b), Herbie Lovelle (d)). Cura include: “You Took Advantage Of Me’; “Moonlight In Vermont”; “Ah, Sweet Mystery Of Life”; “'Tis Autumn”; “June's A Word”; “Lonelyville”; “You Turned The Tables On Me”; “You're Laughing At Me”; “Crazy Rhythm”; “Easy To Say”; “I Get A Kick Out Of You”; and “Like Someone In Love”. St Claire worked with Dizzy Gillespie's 1949 band. She also spent some time with Erroll Garner and Howard McGhee. Contrary to the title, this is a studio LP. Record and cover are in nice VG condition (light stain on bottom left corner). Postage will be paid by purchaser.
