Lovely condition Uk issue 1960 First year pressing of Uk RCA SB-2110 Silver Spot on red deep grooved original labels Elgar Enigma & Brahms Haydn variations, from Monteux & the LSO with most desirable 1D1D stampers.
Some real magic in the Enigma here, as noted in the 1st review: at the beginning of"Nimrod"he achieves a real ppp with marvellous effect. "Dorabella" goes beautifully, with some lovely viola solos, and for once the oboe speaks her name Without lingering too long on the first syllable.
Clean rear sleeve with old tape dried on marks on flaps only, hardly any spindle marks and playing surfaces are Near Mint. A decca pressing from the SXL 2000 era, with all the tube warmth and quality of mastering that implies. This record is not warped, labels are clean. This played Near mint. This will be cleaned on a wash and vacuum machine unless requested not, given a vpi antistatic inner and placed in a new heavy poly outer. We post in new custom made corrugated cardboard boxes, and this will be sent signed for, insured.
