Hi,
This item is a UK Jazz acetate by the Geoff Carter Quartet. I've tried to do a little research, but have found out very little about Geoff Carter - from some quick internet searching it's possible he was a saxophone player. I can hear a Double Bass, Piano, Drums, Congas and either a Clarinet or high register Saxophone
The acetate is in G+ condition, there is a stick on 1 track (track 2), but the rest of the songs are very listenable, pretty clean sound despite some clicks. I don't know much about jazz, but I thought this might be of interest to a fan of the 1960's UK jazz scene, hopefully a curious record for someone. It was recorded on 12 August 1960.
The record is on Rendezvous records (Manchester) and comes in a brown sleeve that has split down the sides.
I haven't tried to clean this acetate, I'm sure the sound would improve if it was properly cleaned.
The A side has 4 tracks, B side 2 tracks. In between each track there is a radio announcer talking about each track. He mentions the show is on the tail of the 'Late Show'; there seemed to be a few different shows in the 60's on the various BBC stations called the Late Show, so maybe this is recorded on one of them.

B1: 'I Got It Bad And That Ain't Good' written by Duke Ellington (crackly sound) B2: 'Four's Company', written by Geoff Carter
Also included is another acetate by Geoff Carter - The Geoff Carter Four. This acetate has 4 tracks on each side and is recorded on an EMIDisc by Rendezvous records The lacquer has crazed on this acetate and is not currently playable; I am not sure if this can be recoated or fixed, but I thought I'd offer it with the other acetate in case it was of interest - please see the last few photos where you can see the 'crazing' on this 2nd acetate.
