Welcome to the first part of the 37 and 6 list!. Thirty seven shillings and six pence was the cost of a Stereo Lp in the early days of the stereo era in Britain. It was more than a day's pay for most people. I have obtained for you a parcel of these early stereo classical rarities, all in pristine near mint condition, and nearly all having the 37/6 price sticker to the top of the rear, harmless and a part of their history. Photos show the record labels clearly not having had much table time, and the clean rears usually have the little price sticker seen at the top left. I will split them over two or three lists, every other sunday from this week on.
1960 original pressing of White /Gold labels UK HMV ASD 433 which has Cluytens & the BPO in the Beethoven 6th Symphony.
Condition to this is near mint, with clean playing surfaces, no marks of any nature to the playing surfaces, unblemished sleeve rear, and clean labels as seen in the pics. original inner. Near Mint sleeve is as new.
This week a 60's stereo, TAS Listed Audiophile and a great chamber music selection. They are all well worth a look and a bid, same low start no reserve on everything regardless of value.
