Rare Northern Soul Memorabilia: Original Demo Acetate & Handwritten Sheet Music

Up for auction is an incredibly rare and historically significant piece of Northern Soul memorabilia—a one-of-a-kind demo acetate and original handwritten sheet music from the 1960s for the iconic track You Don’t Love Me by The Epitome of Sound. This lot includes two unique items tied to the song’s recording and release.

This lot includes:

1. Original Demo Acetate with Extended Guitar Intro

This one-of-a-kind acetate features the extended guitar intro version of You Don’t Love Me. It was used by the band to secure their contract with Sandbag Records in the 1960s. The acetate is labeled with the studio’s information, Venture Sound Studios, Bound Brook, New Jersey, as well as handwritten information from the 1960s from the original creator, adding another layer of historical value to this rare item.

2. Original Handwritten Sheet Music

Also included is the original handwritten sheet music for You Don’t Love Me. This one-of-a-kind document features the complete musical notation and lyrics for the track, offering a rare glimpse into the production process of this Northern Soul classic.
