Description

For your consideration is a scarce original circa early to mid 1960s publicity photograph of obscure soul group, The Diplomates.

Photograph, which measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches, is signed and inscribed on back "To that tuff drummer, from Tommy of the Diplomats, from Bill of the Diplomats, from Sam and Ewan (?) of the Diplomats." I am not sure who the drummer was that this was inscribed to. On other signed photos from the same estate he is referred to as "My Little "Jr" (Sweet Gypsy)" by Maxine Brown, and elsewhere as "Robert". This is one of several signed soul photos from the same estate I am listing today, so please see my other auctions.
