Description
This is from a top of the market collection, comprising of just early stereo rarities on Decca HMV, UK Columbia & RCA. First labels issues in Near Mint condition to 99% of them, all described in detail with plenty of pictures. Includes many items rarely seen on ebay.
1962 First year pressing of German DG SLPM 138 650/1/2 with the Red Stereo front logo and Alle Hersteller Tulips labels 3LP set. The Hungarian Quartet play the complete Bartok Quartets. This set is Near Mint with no marks to the playing surfaces, clean labels (shown in pics) and the unusual designed one end open single sleeve for all three lps is also Near Mint. One of the greatest accounts of these in the stereo era, from a group featuring his compatriots led since 1937 by Szekely who knew this repertoire and the composer like the backs of their hands - he was the dedicatee of the 2nd Violin concerto. A cornerstone to any decent chamber collection.
This record set is visually Near Mint, in a Near Mint sleeve, records not warped, labels are clean.Good selection of rarities in my list this week..
