Description
The Beatles items I’m auctioning this evening are all in “Nr, Mint” condition, coming from the same collector as a lot of my previous R & B, Jazz listings, of the past week all rarely played and in wonderful condition.
On offer here is the 1962 Beatles 45 that started the music revolution of the 1960’s namely “LOVE ME DO” / “P.S. I LOVE YOU” on the PARLOPHONE label (RED LABELS) No. 45-R 4949, with matrix Nos. 7XCE 17144-1N & 17145-1N.
Also stamped in the dead wax are ZT 1 at (9-00 O’clock) on both sides, also stamped in the dead wax at (3-00 O’clock are G A (side 1) & the letter M on side 2.
Side one label displays P on one side of the spindle hole & T the other.
Labels display The Parlophone Co Ltd in upper lower/case and have the “Recoding First published” label text but not “Sold in UK”
The record and labels are in as “Nr. Mint” condition as you will ever see, a truly collector item.
It’s housed in an original Parlophone paper sleeve, which shows a little age browning and has a number written on the back.
I do try to be careful with my descriptions, especially with items that are anticipated to make higher than usual bids.
