Description

Original AFRTS (Armed Forces Radio & Television Service) non‑commercial pressing pairing Rosemary Clooney’s Love (arranged and conducted by Nelson Riddle) with Gene Rains Group’s Rains in the Tropics. These LPs were produced exclusively for U.S. military service members and distributed to bases worldwide, never sold commercially. Collectors prize AFRTS issues for their unique pairings and rarity. This copy features Clooney’s lush vocal ballads backed by Nelson Riddle’s orchestra on Side 1, and Gene Rains’ exotica/lounge stylings on Side 2. A scarce artifact of military broadcasting history.

VG record / VG− sleeve. Side 1 plays clean with faint surface noise, potential scratch not audible. Side 2 has one audible scratch over part of Track 2, otherwise faint surface noise throughout. Labels show minor spindle wear and “82” marking that matching sleeve. Sleeve has small tears at opening, grease pencil marks, light staining, and minor bends but no seam splits. Playback may vary depending on equipment; sold as‑is.
