DESCRIPTION:
We have on offer an original very SCARCE to RARE boxed set of 4 Columbia Stereophonic 12 inch LP's of the Complete Orchestral Works of Maurice Ravel in 1963 ...... a true landmark in the recording of this famous iconic French composer. Besides being in pristine hardly played condition, this desirable BOXED set of 4 LP Stereophonic recordings was signed by Andre Cluytens when he visited Adelaide, South Australia, in 1964 ...... the same year in which THE BEATLES visited Adelaide. I was present at this amazing concert in which Cluytens, as guest conductor, conducted the South Australian Symphony Orchestra featuring some of Ravel's orchestral works ..... a truly moving & memorable night.
This signed boxed set of 4 Columbia recordings by Ravel, conducted by Andre Cluytens, I think is the first boxed set that has ever come onto the market in which Cluytens has personally signed ...... a top iconic musical investment!
