SEEBURG ENCORE LIBRARY
5 Encore Library Records
Record Nos. 15, 16, 18, 19, and 20
Mfg. by Columbia Record Productions - Issued 1963
These are 9" records with a 2" center hole, made for the Seeburg 1000 Background Music System. They are played at 16? rpm. Each record side contains approximately 31 minutes of instrumental Easy Listening music. The Encore Library was introduced in 1963 and these records were issued that year. Seeburg Encore records have a wider groove pitch and frequency response than the other Seeburg Background Music libraries. Even at 16? rpm, these records sound every bit as good as standard mono LP records of the era. The music in the Encore library is slightly jazzier than in the other libraries, with many movie themes and Sinatra-style songs. All records have been play-graded. They are in VG condition and play without skips. Records come in original glassine sleeves. No reserve.
Note: Record No. 15 contains the original version of "Calcutta" by Lawrence Welk
