Description

A very rare 1964 recording by Liverpool F.C. Supporters Club -The Other Mersey Sound - Spion Kop. This 45 rpm record was recorded on 18/4/64 by Philips of Kensington, Liverpool, who was the very first record label that the Beatles recorded there voices on in a terraced house in Liverpool years before they found fame and fortune. This was recorded as a (Private Recording) so it was not done for commercial distribution and it would be fair to say there are not many of them about, If any? The matrix on the run out wax says PFP EP001 on side 1 and PFP EP 002 on side 2 and there is also the Megolico tax stamp on the label. This is a very collectable item not just as a vintage football memorabilia item, but also as a Philips label recording and there Beatles connection.There are not many Philips of Kensington recording around especially in this condition, and they have always been highly collectable. If this item sells it will be sent as 1st class SIGNED large letter (boxed) post at a cost of £2.70 within the UK ONLY.
