We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records.   Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of  2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays.  Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday.   We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.  We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order.  Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

Contains the original blue printed Capitol Records inner sleeve...

In glorious MONO with the big beat bold production and different song mixes = much different from the stereo issue!

The Beatles' Second Album is the The Beatles' second Capitol Records album, released in stereo ST 2080 was their third in the United States counting Introducing... The Beatles, released on Vee-Jay Records, and 2nd release on Capitol Records.

The Beatles' Second Album went to number one on the album charts in the U.S., knocking off Meet the Beatles!, the first time an artist replaced itself at number one on the U.S. album charts.

Unlike the contemporaneous British Beatles albums, The Beatles' Second Album is composed exclusively of uptempo numbers, and for this reason is a favorite of some Beatles aficionados and rock critics. "The Beatles' Second Album stands as probably best pure rock & roll album ever issued of the group's music", wrote the Beatlemania Monthly.

Songs for this album were compiled from four different UK releases. Included were the five remaining tracks from the group's second British LP With the Beatles. Those songs were left off the previous Capitol album Meet the Beatles!. Also included were "Thank You Girl" (the B-side to the British single "From Me to You"), the single "She Loves You" / "I'll Get You", "You Can't Do That" from the A Hard Day's Night soundtrack in the UK, and two new songs, "Long Tall Sally" and "I Call Your Name," both released a month later in the UK on the Long Tall Sally EP.

 Worth noting is the inclusion of the stereo version of "Thank You Girl," as The Beatles' Second Album features the only "true" stereo version of the song released on any US or UK album (it was included on The Beatles Beat, a German release). Though some echo was added, this version remains a bit of a rarity, being only available in its original mono version on other releases. The Capitol album mix is also unique for another reason: this version contains 3 additional harmonica riffs. They are twice during the bridge; first, during the second time the line "way that you do" is sung, and second, after the phrase "that's the kind of love that seems too good to be true". The third riff is tagged on at the very end of the song. For its American-album debut, Capitol took this stereo version and transferred it into a two-to-one stereo-to-mono mixdown for the mono album release, thus creating an alternative mono mix of the song.

CONDITION: The cover is clean VG++ to "EX" (Excellent) stiff and sharp, has no soft areas, even pocket opening is stiff and crisp = no bends, no writing =  

Rare **MONO first printing** collectible from 1964! 

The vinyl both sides are glossy CLEAN VG+ with ONLY a few small minor and hard to see scuffs and couple light hairlines = play graded very clean, heard only a few little random minor/low ticks = the audio is 'nice' and enjoyable throughout...the labels are clean .... 46 year old collectible only getting harder to find.
