1964 MONO VEE-JAY VJLP1062- Introducing.. THE BEATLES~ LENNON McCARTNEY- Garage- hard to find record in this condition. I tried to take pics of any damage. The record has very light sign of use. small fingernail scuff that I made trying to turn the vinyl over, made me sick. But pics do not do the gloss and condition justice. Side B label has a scratch. binding solid with some wear at edges. top edge shows no wear. bottom has some issues ( see pics) Back of cover has some foxong and small issue at top (pictured) . On January 16, 1964, Vee Jay Records released what was the first Beatles' album in America. It was released in two versions; the monaural (#VJLP1062) and in stereo (#SR1062), and is today one of the most valuable of all The Beatles' albums. It was the subject of much legal wrangling, but ultimately, Vee-Jay were permitted to sell the album until the fall of 1964, by which time it had sold more than 1.3 million copies.
