Description
This is for the album, Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes, Featuring Veronica. Produced by Phil Spector and released in 1964 on his label Philles Records. Catalog # PHLP-4006. This is a lower grade copy, and is priced accordingly. Jacket has the bottom edge pretty nicely repaired with glue (you can feel it) from the seam being split, and some of the litho is off of the bottom edge. Spine has chipping and some litho off, as does top edge. Top edge has a 3 1/2" seam split. Minor corner bumping and wear. Face and back show some rubbing, and face has some toning. Interior sleeve is a discwasher plastic sleeve (not original). Visually, vinyl shows some scuffing, light scratching that you can't feel, spotting, and one scratch that you can feel a little in the final track of side 1 (What'd I Say).
This was play tested on my turntable. Side 1 played through with some background surface noise and a few pops at the start. This minimizes to minor background surface noise. Surface noise picks up a little in So Young, and abates again before the next song (Breaking Up). Some popping at the start of What'd I Say. Side 2 has minor surface noise with occasional clicks or a softer pop. There are a couple of stronger pops in Baby, I Love You.
So again, this is a bit of a lower grade copy, but could serve as a strong filler copy, or for someone less particular about flawless sound throughout.
