OFFERED IS: THE BEATLES & FRANK IFIELD ON STAGE  #VJ-1085 - an extremely rare and very hard to find LP issued in October 1964 by Vee Jay Records as a last attempt by Vee Jay Records to cash in on The Beatles success in America!   Capitol Records sued Vee Jay and the courts issued an order that Vee Jay had to cease selling Beatles records in 1964.   This LP was their last Beatles LP issued.   Because it only contained 4 Beatles songs it didn't sell well.  Plus the fact that these 4 songs had already been issued previously on 45rpm records by Vee Jay itself.   This rare mono LP was pressed on Vee Jay Records # VJ-1085.  This LP is also known as 'The Beatles Portrait Cover' because of the great color drawing of the band on the cover.   This album is guaranteed 100% authentic!!  

Please note: this LP was originally purchased from Rockaway Records in LA 5 years ago.  Original Beatles Portrait Covers can be authenticated by looking closely at the dark blue background area all around the color drawing of The Beatles.  legitimate copies have a pink & blue dot speckled background around The Beatles:  hundreds of super tiny blue and pink dots randomly scattered on the dark blue background area.  Fake copies cannot duplicate this factory produced feature;  see closeup pics taken through a jewelers loupe which show the area to the right of Paul's ear and to the right of John's left jacket pocket.

This LP is overall in Very Good condition.   There is all over handling wear but overall the front cover displays well.   The jacket has tape residue along the top and bottom seams even though it appears that there are no seam splits on either seam!   There is also 3 longer pieces of tape residue on the front and back covers.   Apparently someone long ago taped up the seams for no good reason and then added 3 longer vertical pieces of tape just for good measure.  The tape residue doesn't show much unless you hold the LP under a bright light at an angle(see picture attached).  The tape residue is also on the back cover, top and bottom edges plus someone attempted to remove some of the tape residue on the back cover, top & bottom seam areas.   The printing on the spine shows well with some overall wear.   The jacket has heavy wear on all 4 corners plus there is a small bit of red ink on the back cover hi-lighting the word 'POPULAR'.   But overall this LP jacket displays well and is a good example if someone doesn't want to spend the money on an excellent or better conditioned copy.   The vinyl is Very Good condition.   It includes the original Vee Jay Records inner sleeve which the seams have been taped.                                                                   Good Luck!
