CLEAN 1965 garage "Invasion" MONO *VINYL* rave-ups & poprock gems

                  THE  KINKS

               KONTROVERSY

\                                      USA - steamboat Reprise Records - 6197

Original 1965 VINYL first pressing of one of the best early KINKS albums that delivers on the whole with their Brit Invasion garage rockin' suond laced with memorable pop sensibilities that would later flourish ... a nice mix and all in glorious MONO ... the rare mono first pressing unveils different song mixes from the stereo release and, as well, delivers a cool bold punch in the monaural sound production!

Includes the original steamboat Reprise label inner sleeve...

THE KINKS are peaking in their British Invasion R&B laced rave-ups and produce their first really good album, packed with hard-edged pop rock grooves that dispenses with most of the awkward R & B elements of their prior albums and embraces melody, harmony, and some interesting arrangements; the exception being "Milk Cow Blues," a garage-burner whose energy rescues it from the formulaic sound of some of those earlier excursions. Here's where the whole Kinks thing really takes off...
