I had to end the other listing because it said 6 lps. 1965 all original vintage box collection of 3 vinyl lps in mint condition. Box has minimal wear if any . Starker's relationship with these suites spanned decades, and his 1965 Mercury recording remains one of the most technically precise and emotionally controlled interpretations ever committed to tape. A student of Adolf Schiffer and later a principal cellist of the Chicago Symphony, Starker brought an Old World rigor to Bach that few have matched, treating the suites not as showpieces but as architecture.
