Description
The Amazing Spider-Man 45 RPM Record — 1966
This is an exceptionally well-preserved 1966 The Amazing Spider-Man 45 RPM record, complete with its original die-cut Spider-Man picture sleeve.
A little history on this particular copy: In 1990, I walked into a convenience store in Roselle, New Jersey, and noticed an old rotating rack of children's records that appeared to have been sitting there unsold since the late 1960s or early 1970s. Among the unsold old stock were Popeye, Batman & Robin, and Spider-Man records. I purchased the records that day, brought them home, and carefully stored them away, where they have remained until now.
Because this copy was essentially unsold old stock when I acquired it in 1990, it has survived in remarkable condition. The die-cut sleeve retains strong, vibrant color with very little wear, and the original 49¢ price remains printed on the front.
Most importantly, the vinyl record has never been removed from its original chipboard die-cut sleeve and has never been played during my ownership. I have intentionally left it undisturbed rather than removing it simply to photograph it. Additional photographs, including photos of the vinyl if requested, can be provided to serious buyers.

Condition
The die-cut sleeve is in exceptionally nice condition for its age, with vivid color and an outstanding overall presentation. The record has remained inside the sleeve since I purchased it as unsold old stock in 1990 and has never been played or removed during my ownership.

This is a particularly attractive surviving example of an early Spider-Man and Marvel record collectible. Its unusual old-stock provenance, exceptional preservation, and unplayed record make it especially appealing for a vintage Marvel, Spider-Man, comic-book, or record collection.
