1966 The Beatles "Yesterday and Today" LP with the Butcher cover.  Let me start out by saying I am NOT a record dealer or an expert on them.  I picked this up at a local estate auction and while I've been a "collectibles" dealer for some time now, I have never had this LP before.  That being said, I have been aware of the whole story of this record and know full well of it's rarity and value and how to spot them by finding the "dark triangle" of Ringo's shirt so I knew full well when I got this exactly what it was.  After I picked it up, I did my research and contacted a record dealer friend of mine who verified for me it was the real deal.  He helped me out by telling me what info was important for this listing so hopefully I'll include everything you may need to know about it.  So without further ado, here we go!

This is an original pressing of this record with the paste up of the trunk cover over the original butcher cover.  As you may know, it's not easy to photograph the telltale signs of the butcher cover but after several photos and even an attempt on my scanner, I have enclosed two photos that hopefully will show the "black triangle" for you to see.  This is a mono version T2553.  The RIAA  stamp at the bottom right on the back is #3.  The vinyl side 1 is matrix marked T1-2553-G4 on side 1 and T2-2553-G4 #2 on side 2.  It comes with the original gold Capitol inner sleeve.  Now, here comes the good part, that being the condition.  While many Beatles albums you find these days are in really rough shape, the good news about this one is that the original owner split the shrink wrap to get the record out but LEFT IT ON THE JACKET!!  Because of this, the jacket is in beautiful condition with no splits, tears, writing or other damage or abuse!!  I've looked it over pretty closely and I can see slight signs of handling wear but no damage of any kind.  Since this is a high ticket item, I know any little defect is important so for those of you who need to know ANY little imperfection, the ONLY things I can find worth mentioning are a very slight bent mark at the bottom left corner and a tiny bit of fraying at the bottom right corner where the shrink wrap was opened.  That's it.  I don't see ANY other signs of wear and there is NO damage of any kind that I can find.  No spine splits or other tears or damage.  There has been NO attempt to peel off the top label so it is just like it was when it left the factory.  The shrink wrap has no tears or splits other than the one made to get the LP out 40+ years ago and a tiny seam split at the bottom right corner.  The inner sleeve has a small seam split at the bottom, otherwise it's in good shape as well.  As to the vinyl itself, I do not have a turntable so I don't know what it sounds like.  There are a few assorted marks on it from use but nothing major I can see.  I have made no attempt to clean it in any way and will leave that up to you to do so it's done correctly.  As for shipping, I will be shipping it Priority mail w/insurance to protect us both so you WILL have to sign for this when it arrives to you.  I think that should cover everything but feel free to e-mail any questions you may have and I'll do my best to answer them.  This is being sold AS-IS with NO RETURNS because unfortunately there are just too many scammers and game players out there and I'm afraid I just can't take the chance of someone trying to pull the old "switcheroo" or whatever, although I guarantee this is an authentic butcher cover as described.  The winning bidder is more than welcome to pick this up in person if he so chooses and is near the Western NY area.  Finally, I have NO "Buy it now" price on this, so all you bargain hunters out there looking for a "score" can save your e-mails asking me what I want for it.  Thanks!

ATTENTION FOREIGN BUYERS: I regret to announce that I am no longer selling to anywhere outside of the USA.    Thank you for your understanding.
